改編自真人真事，2004年10月23日下午5時56分，新潟縣發生6.8級地震。石川家的小孩優造及彩子，受了重傷被困在瓦礫中，就在此時他們聽到了家中柴犬麻里的聲音，牠更不顧安危，一邊照顧自己的孩子「包」、「剪」、「?」，一邊叫喚優造和彩子給予他們生存的勇氣。最後自衛隊趕到把所以居民救了出來，可是卻遺留麻里和三隻小狗在災區﹗在沒有食物下，麻里仍然盡力守護著三隻小狗，在避難所的彩子和亮太得知暴風雨快來臨，兩人決定開始展開他們的拯救計畫！究竟麻里和小狗們可以獲救嗎？牠們跟石川家的家人可以團聚嗎？

This is storyof life, based on redity. On October 23, 2004, on earthquake occurred with a magnitude of 6.8 in the Yamakoshi (now called Nagaoka). A dog named "Mari" gave birth to three pups on the very day of the earthquake. After the earthquake occurred and all of the people were evacuated to the devastation of nature, and greatly moved the residents by reappearing unharmed with her three pups after 16 days.[/color]
